Sonos, joining spatial audio trend, touts 3D sound from one speaker

Sonos has announced a new wireless speaker with support for 3D audio, and promises that only one of these new speakers is needed for the new immersive listening format to work. The feature is the reason that the new Era 300 speaker has such a unusual shape, a bit like an hourglass on its side, which helps it to broadcast its sound to the sides and up towards the ceiling.
