James Cameron has become the first director with three movies to have earned more than $2 billion at the global box office. The filmmaker’s sequel ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ has now crossed the $2 billion mark, following the first movie (2009’s ‘Avatar’) and 1998’s ‘Titanic’. A total of six movies have now crossed the milestone, including Marvel blockbuster ‘Avengers: Endgame’. Cameron previously said the film would have to be the “third or fourth highest-grossing film in history” just to break even.
