Venice Golden Lion goes to ‘Poor Things’ by Yorgos Lanthimos

“Poor Things” by Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos has won this year’s Golden Lion, the Venice Film Festival jury said on Saturday evening. “Poor Things” is an experimental take on the Frankenstein story starring US actress Emma Stone, alongside Willem Dafoe and Mark Ruffalo.
