NEW YORK — Steve Carell‘s next big gig will not be at an office in Scranton, but a major theater on Broadway. The Golden Globe-winning actor, known for the hit comedy series “The Office” and Oscar-nominated films such as “Little Miss Sunshine” and “Foxcatcher,” will make his Broadway debut in a new production of “Uncle Vanya.” Producers announced Tuesday that Carell will take on the title role in the upcoming revival of the Anton Chekhov play, which begins performances April 2 at Lincoln Center’s Vivian Beaumont Theater.
