Nepal has decided to shut down schools for nearly three weeks starting on Tuesday amid rising numbers of coronavirus cases, officials said. The primary and secondary schools will remain closed until January 29, according to Education Ministry spokesperson Deepak Sharma. He said that the authorities were coordinating with schools to vaccinate children between the ages of 12 and 17 during the shutdown.
